What are the Symptoms of Diabetes?

Because many of the symptoms of diabetes seem harmless, the disease often goes undiagnosed. But leaving diabetes untreated can cause organ damage and put you at risk for other serious conditions.

If you have diabetes it is extremely important that you see your doctor and get treatment to prevent the long-term serious complications of having the disease.

The American Diabetes Association recommends you see a doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:
  • Frequent urination
  • Excessive thirst 
  • Extreme hunger 
  • Unusual weight loss 
  • Increased fatigue 
  • Irritability 
  • Blurry vision
